KNDD (107.7 The End)/Seattle has a rare opening for a new team member to host afternoons and help program the legendary Alternative brand. Ideal candidate must be able to contribute on the air and behind the scenes.
On the Air: You must be authentic, relatable and entertaining on the air and able to connect with an extremely passionate listener base on social media and in-person. You should also thrive on hosting live events and have passion for alternative music.
Music Director: The position also includes a lot of things the listeners will never see like scheduling music; coordinating, analyzing and implementing music research; maintaining artist, management and label relations; brand building for the future; helping plan and execute promotions; and assisting with imaging the station including writing and production.
Qualifications/Requirements:
2 years experience as On-air/Music Director
Knowledge of FCC rules, geographical demographics
Must be self-motivated and possess ability to work autonomously
Ability to run broadcast facility equipment and software/hardware
Demonstrate ability to host live events
Experience scheduling music, music research
Execution of promotions
