Whenever you hear the word “change” in our industry, there’s usually someone involved who has lost their job. But when KISQ (98.1 Kiss FM)/San Francisco recently announced a change in morning drive, the story actually turned out positive.
Market legend and 98.1 Kiss FM morning show host Renel Brooks-Moon has moved to the noon – 1 pm slot to host Renel’s Record Party. Her a.m. co-host Christie James stays put, and Chino Iglesias moved from market sister station KYLD (Wild 94.9) to fill the void.
In addition to being heard on-air, Renel has spent over fifteen as the public address announcer and community ambassador for the San Francisco Giants, and is the only Black woman to fill that position in Major League Baseball.
