Getting fired really sucks, but the best way to get over that immense hurt and disappointment is to land a better gig. WWPW (Power 96.1)/Atlanta Morning Talent Scotty Kay (right) and Producer Bret Mega (left) were released from the station this year, and now they have a new radio home at KLIF (Hot 93.3)/Dallas.

The two spent two years at Power 96.1 and reportedly delivered record ratings. Scotty shared the great news about their new opportunity on social media:

We are so excited to announce our new journey and challenge in a bigger market!!! Bret Mega and I will be heading to Dallas to join the Cumulus family and our amazing friends at Hot933Hits!!! Thank you to the people that have been in our corner since the beginning and helped make this happen! Dan Bennett Dustin Kross Mike McVay Doug Hamand Paul B. Anderson Rob Roberts Bert Weiss R Morgan Gillette Ty Bentli Rick Vaughn and more!

We can’t wait to get back on the air with the privilege and responsibility of starting people’s day! Radio can changes lives, believe in it.

Scotty Kay and Bret Mega will get started at Hot 93.3 on August 15th, and Bret will play a bigger role as the co-host.
