The Internet is one of those bands that Program Directors and Music Directors will say they love, but that excitement doesn’t translate into airplay on their stations because they don’t feel listeners will get or appreciate. The Talent Report told you how much we loved The Internet in December, and Urban AC is the format where the millennial cool kids first gained traction with the single “Girl” featuring Kaytranada by breaking into the top 20. Now, The Internet is officially charting post-Grammys at Rhythmic!

Many say awards don’t matter, but “Girl” has really started to heat up since being nominated. Hopefully programmers will continue to give The Internet airplay, and get into their awesome album “Ego Death.”
