Veda Loca

Before social media, losing an on-air job meant instantly losing access to your listeners or viewers. Even though Talent builds a connection, and sometimes friendships, management rarely allows a proper goodbye, or explains what happened.

In November 2017, KBFB (97.9 The Beat)/Dallas moved Afternoon Talent Veda Loca to a.m. drive for “Veda Loca In The Morning.” The program replaced “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show,” but this month 97.9 The Beat returned to nationally syndicated programming and picked up “The Morning Hustle.” As a result, Veda was left without a job.

Instead of laying low until she found a new job,  Veda Loca began sharing her new life with her fans via social media. The videos chronicling this phase of her life are funny and candid, and hopefully will help her find a way she finds a new great gig.

Take a look at Veda Loca’s first five videos since entering the world of unemployment.

2. Are You Okay?!?!

3. You’re Fired!!! I Just Told My Son
