Wendy Williams and Charlamagne The God were friends. She gave him a national platform in 2006 when she brought him from South Carolina to New York City to be her side kick on WBLS‘ popular afternoon show “The Wendy Williams Experience.” During their time together as on-air partners, and friendship blossomed. But it was abundantly clear that friendship was over in 2014 when Elvis Duran asked Wendy a question about Charlamagne, and repeatedly replied, “Who?”

The cause for the split was reportedly related to a fallout with Wendy Williams’ estranged husband and ex-manager Kevin Hunter. So it was lovely to see Wendy excitedly talk about getting a call from Charlamagne on her daytime talk show after years of silence. Hopefully the two can resurrect their relationship now that Wendy’s marriage is ending.
