Kenzie Roman, the woman who is also known as Kenzie K, has had an impressive career with gigs at KDWB/Minneapolis, WLLD (WiLD 94.9)/Tampa Bay, and most recently at WBBM (B96)/Chicago in the middays. But beginning May 2nd, Kenzie K will embark on a new adventure.

WKQX (Q101)/Chicago’s “Q101 Morning Crew” is Kenzie K’s new radio home, and she’ll join current hosts Brian Haddad and Justin Nettlebeck. Kenzie K replace Ali, who departed in November. Here’s the enthusiastic message Kenzie shared with her followers on Instagram.

Mornings in Chicago! A life long dream of mine has become a reality on the legendary Q101 ❤️ It has been so hard to keep this a secret! Starting May 2nd I’ll be on the “Q101 Morning Crew” & I can’t wait to wake up with you every morning! 🎙️

About the hire, Q101 VP/Operations & Cumulus/Chicago VP/Programming, Rock Formats Troy Hanson stated, “After an extensive search of strong candidates to add to ‘The Q101 Morning Crew,’ we are incredibly pleased to have Kenzie K joining the team. Her energy, personality, and comedy chops are simply undeniable. From the moment we met with her, we knew we had found exactly what we were looking for to enhance our strong Q101 lineup.”

In addition to working in radio, Kenzie K is also a TV personality on Marquee Sports Network’s “The MVP Game” and the Emmy Award-winning ABC7/Chicago New Year’s Eve special “Countdown Chicago.”
