DJ Drewski 2016

It seems like working with Angie Martinez as the Producer of her show has really paid of for WQHT (Hot 97)/New York‘s Weekend Talent DJ Drewski. He has a style of his own, but he is as effortlessly likable and speaks with the same ease and comfort on the mic as his former colleague Angie Martinez.

On Saturday afternoons Drewski holds down a regular format shift, and on Sunday nights he shows off his mixing and selection skills as a DJ. The New Jersey native sounds as comfortable as someone who’s worked on the air in a full-time capacity for years, and he’s definitely a Talent worth paying attention to.

Hot 97 has given him the opportunity to be heard on the air after working behind the scenes, but will he move from the Tri-State area to pursue a full-time gig? After almost a decade with Hot, it will be interesting to see if he stays put or looks for a bigger opportunity elsewhere.

Follow DJ Drewski on Instagram and Twitter, and take a look at this video of him on Fox 5 in New York.
