Responsibilities:
Create, manage and execute the vision and strategy of all elements of the brand, including but not limited to music, talent, contesting, production, and digital applications
Curation and monitoring of daily music logs, music/data/ratings research, content creation, talent coaching, marketing and promotion creation, strategy building, social media oversight
Oversee day to day music logs in San Diego and some regional responsibilities
Collaborate in supervision, direction and overall performance level of all station personnel functions with specific emphasis on program coordination, development of unique content, promotions and multi-media strategies
Collaborate in the creation of digital strategy and content on brands social platforms
Collaborate in finding solutions to drive ratings and revenue
Responsible for adherence and compliance to Company program standards and FCC regulations
Provide rating analysis and reporting
Collaborate in critiques of talent and overall station performance
Maintains on-going communications with external industry and public organizations
Maintain use of any syndicated and/or outside services
Protect the station’s FCC license
Monitor the music and commercial logs
Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience radio or media leadership
Must be proficient in music schedule systems (MusicMaster) and knowledge of digital automation systems (WideOrbit) and audio editing systems (Adobe Audition)
Must be self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills
An experienced creative writer
Aware of social media and digital best practices
Must include an air check mp3 along with your resume to be considered.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
