Ed Lover currently fills the 7 – 10 pm shift on Audacy‘s WXBK (94.7 The Block)/New York, and beginning October 17th, his show will expand into other markets. “The Ed Lover Experience” will air on the following stations owned by Audacy.

  • WBMX (104.3 Jams)/Chicago 8 pm – 12 am
  • KRBQ (102 Jams)/San Francisco 7 – 10 pm
  • KHTP (HOT 103.7)/Seattle 10 am – 2 pm
  • KXQQ (Q100.5)/Las Vegas 7 – 10 pm

This move isn’t Ed Lover’s first rodeo in syndication radio. “The Ed Lover Show With Monie Love” launched in 2016 and ran for two years. Afterwards, he headed to Chicago for mornings on 104.3 Jams. And this year Ed Lover joined 94.7 The Block for his current shift at nights, and here’s what Ed Lover said about his show transitioning into syndication.

“Life is all about discovering new adventures. Throughout my career I’ve been lucky enough to do so. I’m excited about this new opportunity to spread love and laughter to so many people!”

About the expansion of “The Ed Lover Experience,” Audacy Senior Vice President of Programming Dave Richards issued the following statement.

“Ed Lover is the guy who introduced an entire generation to hip-hop, and became arguably the face of hip-hop as it blew up across America. Since his days at MTV, Ed has established himself — amongst other things — as a tremendous radio host, and now we’re proud and excited to take this icon nationwide. Look out for ‘The Ed Lover Experience.'”

“Yo! MTV Raps!” launched Ed Lover’s career, and he got his start in radio on WQHT (Hot 97)/New York with Doctor Dre in 1993. The popular duo went to the left coast in 1999 to host mornings on KKBT (92.3 The Beat)/Los Angeles and Ed Lover returned to NYC two years later and joined iHeartRadio’s WWPR (Power 105.1). SiriusXM’s “Backspin” was the last stop before the launch of “The Ed Lover Show.”
