KFI-AM/Los Angeles needs a morning drive anchor for the 5 AM – 10 AM shift who can also co-produce and host Wake Up Call from 5 AM – 6 AM.
What You’ll Do:
❏ Co-produce and host Wake Up Call from 5 AM – 6 AM
❏ Participate in Handel on the News from 6 AM – 7 AM
❏ Anchor the news through 10:15 AM
❏ Prepare 20 second news updates for the LA radio cluster
❏ Manage information; keeping all facts straight, making sure details are accurate and current, and tracking any changes
❏ Prepare visual images, audio material and video footage for the KFI website and other social-media platforms
What You’ll Need:
❏ Knowledge and understanding of local, national and international news
❏ Knowledge of the operation of the Legislative, Executive and Judicial branches of US government
❏ Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Audition
❏ Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented newsroom
❏ Ability to plan and organize, set priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced newsroom
❏ Previous on-air broadcast experience
❏ College degree is preferred but not required
