Nick Cannon‘s new syndicated daytime talk show has been off to a bumpy start. “The Wendy Williams Show” was supposed to be a strong lead in for Nick when his show premiered on September 27th, but Wendy’s hospitalization and personal challenges left her audience with reruns until fill-ins stepped in for new episodes this week. Moreover, Nick Cannon was left without the strong lead-in he expected to help launch his show.

RadarOnline recently reported about the low audience Nick Cannon was drawing, the article even brutally labeled it as “dead on arrival.” While this assessment of Nick Cannon’s show is horrible, it made us curious to see if the program is as bad as the ratings suggest.
We tuned in to the “Nick Cannon” show on Wednesday, October 20th, and we were pleasantly surprised to see it’s actually better than the ratings would lead one to believe.
What’s Poppin?!?
In a segment that covers celebrity news, Nick Cannon shows he isn’t afraid to go there by talking candidly about famous people–even when they are his friends.
Hater Hotline
Instead of avoiding criticism, Nick invites viewers to call 877-718-NICK to tell him what they dislike about his show.
Celibacy Countdown
As a father of seven, Nick Cannon is practicing celibacy for the rest of the year. The celibacy countdown clock showing how many days he had left was a fun and lighthearted way for Nick to address the ever-present elephant in the room about his decision to father multiple children with four different women.
The Fashion
While it’s mildly disconcerting to see Nick rock outerwear when he makes his entrance, his colorful and stylish suits are appealing to the eye.
The Music
Nick Cannon injects musicality throughout his show via segments like Damn Cam, What’s Poppin?!?, and within interviews. But his freestyle recap of what happened at the end of each show is pretty cool.
“Nick Cannon” airs weekdays all around the country, and here‘s where you see when to watch in your city.
