Carolina Bermudez, Paul Cubby Bryant

Paul “Cubby” Bryant and Carolina Bermudez have an entertaining and energetic morning show in New York City on WKTU (103.5 KTU). Their listeners will likely be sad to hear that the two are no longer going to be heard together, but this separation is actually good news, and a great move by iHeartMedia.

Beginning Tuesday, May 28th, Cubby will join KTU sister station WLTW (106.7 Lite FM)/New York and Christine Nagy to host “Cubby & Christine In The Morning” weekdays from 5-9 am.

Cubby’s exit doesn’t mean Carolina is going anywhere–she’ll continue to fill mornings on KTU, and a new co-host is forthcoming. Here’s what Cubby said about his new show:

“I’m ecstatic about this next chapter in my career with iHeartMedia. After 10 years at Z100 and 13 years at 103.5 KTU, I’m ready to start a long run at 106.7 Lite FM. I have a huge passion for the format, and I’ve known Christine since 1996 from our Z100 days and have always been fond of her on and off the air. How do you pass up mornings in America’s No. 1 media market at one of America’s top radio stations? I want to thank iHeartMedia for granting me this opportunity, and I’ll work my butt off to keep this baby on top and the Lite shining bright.”

Christine Nagy is as excited as Cubby is about their new morning show:

“I’m so thrilled to begin this new venture doing mornings with my friend Cubby. We’ve known each other since our days at Z100, but this will be our first opportunity to do a show together! Cubby is an amazing on-air personality and incredible person and with having Producer Jamie on board, we are going to have so much fun working together on morning drive and I can’t wait for our Lite FM family and listeners to join us. Here we go Cubby, and welcome to the team!”

Lite FM Program Director Chris Conley shared some words about the station’s new morning show team:

“Cubby is one of New York’s most entertaining and highly respected on-air personalities, and we’re incredibly excited that he’ll be joining the Lite FM family. Cubby & Christine’s unique chemistry, combined with their engaging personalities and dedication to their listeners make them the perfect duo and an incredible addition to an already stellar Lite FM lineup.”
