Instead of talking about the spiritual side of thanking God, King Los talks about some of the everyday things that people give thanks for. This is cool, because it’s not what you would expect from a song with this title.
Sonically, “Glory To The Lord” is hip-hop with an injection of R&B from R. Kelly, but Gospel stations, Urban and Rhythmic stations could feasibly play this song.
King Los’ debut album “God Money War” was released last week, and it’s strong and worth listening to. But for now, give “Glory To The Lord” your attention. With the positive responses from listeners for “Jesus Walks” by Kanye West and Big Sean‘s “Blessings,” playing this type of song makes sense–not because of the spiritual theme, but because it’s really good.
