After a string of EDM hits, The Black Eyed Peas are back to making hip-hop music with “Yesterday.” The song and video pay tribute to several hip-hop artists, albums and songs, and it’s probably going to be a hit.

While “Yesterday” is really good, it doesn’t take us away from noticing that Fergie was nowhere to be found. Is The Black Eyed Peas back to being a trio?

2015 marks the band’s 20-year anniversary, so maybe “Yesterday” is just will.i.am, Taboo and apl.de.ap taking a minute to return to their roots with the original members. Guess we’ll see when single #2 drops!
