After being removed from her syndicated daytime talk program “The Wendy Williams Show” in 2022, fans have patiently waited for Wendy Williams to make a triumphant return. While it was uncertain if she would enter the world of podcasting, launch a new TV show, or return to radio, it seemed like it was only a matter of time until Wendy Watchers were able to reconnect with the popular personality.
This weekend, Lifetime will air the two-part documentary “Where Is Wendy Williams?” The film was set to explore what Wendy has been up to since she was seen on her talk show. But while her niece Alex Finnie was making appearances to promote the doc, news about Wendy Williams’ diagnosis with Frontotemporal Dementia and Aphasia was revealed.
Was it her mother’s passing, the infidelity of her husband, the alcohol or past drug abuse that triggered these irreversible conditions? Or were Frontotemporal Dementia and Aphasia just a part of Wendy Williams’ fate? Even if these questions could be answered, sadly, nothing would change.
Although Wendy Williams is still alive, a sense of mourning for the former TV and radio superstar has set in. The funny, compelling and quick-witted Talent will never be the same. And after entertaining so many people for so many years, it’s heartbreaking that those who value Wendy Williams can’t do anything to help her.
