Gladys Knight isn’t someone you would expect to hear on a hip-hop morning show, but Sway had her as a guest on his show and it was a really fun exchange.

Because of her legendary status, Sway called his mother to let her say hello, but Sway’s mom turned into the interviewer! It was cool to see how the kid came out in Sway, and their conversation afterwards was truly intriguing.

Gladys Knight’s importance to hip-hop was illustrated by Sway when he talked about some of the artists who have sampled her music. And he even got the tea on her little-known beef with Diana Ross!
