America validated Kelly Clarkson‘s Talent as a singer in 2002 when she one the very first season of “American Idol.” After many hits and accolades, she’s proven that one can launch a legitimate career as an artist from the world of reality TV.

A brand new chapter in her career was opened this week with the debut of her syndicated daytime talk show, and the ratings are in: “The Kelly Clarkson Show” is off to a great start.

According to Variety, Kelly Clarkson’s program is the “highest debut for a new syndicated show since 2012.” In addition, “show scored a 1.9 household metered market rating and a 6 share in the 56 metered markets.”

Kelly Clarkson’s adopted hometown Nashville is the best market for her show so far. “The show scored a 5.97 household rating in that market on day 1, which climbed 7% to a 6.41 on day 2,” reports Variety.
