mcdonalds
Once upon a time, a press release was the way to let the masses know when something great happened to you. But the personalities of the nationally syndicated programs “The Tom Joyner Morning Show” and “The D.L. Hughley Show” spread the word about shooting a commercial for McDonald‘s via social media.

This method of delivery was quicker, cheaper and more personable than a publicist-prepped message could ever be. And what’s even better about D.L. Hughley, Jasmine Sanders, Steve Wilson, Sybil Wilkes and Tom Joyner taking to social media, is that it disproves the perception that Urban AC listeners AND personalities are not active on social media.

The social push was a great way to build anticipation for the McDonald’s commercial, and it also gave a fans a feel for what this incredible experience must have been like. Take a look at some of the content posted on Instagram…
