Wendy Williams caught the attention of television executives because of her decades of success on radio in New York City. When she visited 107.5 WBLS in September, her last place of employment, she made it abundantly clear that she wanted to host her own radio show again. But nothing has come from her not-so-subtle requests.

On Friday, April 26th, Wendy Williams returned to her old afternoon drive time slot on WBLS for a radio-thon with Deja Vu. The funds raised benefited The Hunter Foundation–the non-profit organization she founded in 2014 with her now estranged husband Kevin Hunter and their son Kevin Jr. that helps people with drug education, prevention and rehabilitation.

This year, Wendy Williams went public about her addiction relapse and is in the process of divorcing her former manager Kevin Hunter. According to insiders, Wendy has come close to securing a syndicated radio deal. But Kevin Hunter’s unreasonable demands sunsetted serious negotiations.

Was the radio-thon Wendy dipping her toe back into the radio pool? Or was she just doing good for an organization that means so much to her? Only time will tell, but it would be pretty amazing to get Wendy Williams on TV and radio daily.
