After a successful three-year run as Executive Vice President of Promotion for Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records, Greg Marella now works for Capitol Music Group and will hold the same position at CMG.
Marella will report to CMG Chairman & CEO Steve Barnett, who said this about his new hire:
Greg is such a strong addition to CMG, both as our head of promotion and as a key member of our senior management team. He is a strong and proven leader with an impressive record of success, and our artists and staff will benefit greatly from his broad experience and abilities. The primary duties for Greg Marella as EVP of CMG will be to oversee the planning and execution of promotion strategies for the Capitol and Virgin labels, as well as providing support for the promotion efforts of CMG’s Blue Note Records, Harvest Records, Astralwerks and CMG’s affiliated labels. In addition to his promotion duties, Marella will play a key role in determining the company’s direction as a member of Barnett’s senior management team.

In addition to working at Kemosabe Records, he spent 16 years with Interscope Geffen A&M and MCA Records and began his career in 1995 at Priority Records.
