Steve Smith was a larger than life figure in radio, but his personality and life were celebrated today at Katz’s Delicatessen in New York City. Former colleagues and friends shared stories that really humanized Steve, and crystalized what an amazing ride he had both personally and professionally.

Shock and sadness spread around the radio industry as people learned of the unexpected death of Steve Smith on July 7th. He was 62 and is survived by his son and fiancé, who were both in attendance at the Steve Smith Celebration Of Life luncheon at Katz’s.
